About Rose

Based in Washington, D.C., she holds a BFA from the University of Michigan and has pursued her creative practice full-time since transitioning from teaching middle and high school art.

Rose has painted over 50 murals across the U.S. and abroad, with more than 40 in her hometown. Her vibrant, often playful work explores themes of human connection, social justice, and the environment.

Beyond her studio and mural practice, Rose is deeply invested in building and sustaining the D.C. arts ecosystem. She hosts an annual artist residency, teaches adult printmaking classes, and actively cultivates space for artistic exchange. As a collector, educator, and community leader, she sees her role not just as an artist, but as a catalyst for connection and creative growth.

Her work has been featured in The Washington Post, City Paper, NBC, CNN, and more. Through all her efforts, Rose remains committed to using art as a tool for dialogue, transformation, and social change.
